Auction House Storefront and Gifting Questions:

My Forza 3 profile has been invalidated for online play due to abusing the credit glitch. How do I start a new profile and do I lose all my saved paintjobs, tunes, replays, photos, etc.?

Follow the steps below to correctly delete your Forza 3 game save. You will not lose any of your saved files, only the cars in your garage and your credits. Here's how:

  • Navigate to the “System Settings” menu of the Xbox 360 Dashboard.
  • Scroll down to “Memory” and select the location where you save your Forza 3 profile (Memory Unit or Hard Drive)
  • Select “Games” and scroll down to find Forza Motorsport 3.
  • Locate a file that displays your current/active Xbox LIVE Gamertag. It will say “Saved Game” below it.
  • Delete this file and re-boot Forza Motorsport 3 to start your new career.

Q: An item I uploaded to the Storefront/Auction House is showing up as “Under Review” and has disappeared from the item list. What does that mean and why can’t people bid on my object?

A: When offensive content is flagged by other members of the community it will eventually show up as “Under Review”. This means your content is offensive and does not belong on the Storefront/Auction House. Your item has been sent to the Forza 3 moderation team who will determine if it is indeed a violation of our Terms and Service. If we determine that your item is not offensive then it will be restored. If your item is offensive then you will receive a temporary or permanent ban from the Storefront/Auction House.

Q: I bid on a car on the Auction House and won, but I can’t get in that car in my garage once I download it. Why can’t I race the car I just won?

A: All Downloadable Content (DLC) car packs will show up if you have downloaded the free car from that pack as noted in the question above. The game will allow you to bid on these cars and items for these cars on the storefront; however you will not be able to use them without purchasing the full car pack that contains the car you have. Visit the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and download the corresponding car pack to use these cars in-game.

Q: I accidentally deleted a gift car message from Turn 10 Studios and now I can't download my car. What gives?

A: If you accidentally deleted your inbox message saying that you have a gift car from Turn 10 before you have actually opened the message to download the car, then you have effectively deleted your gift car. We will not be re-gifting to people who have deleted their gift cars so please be careful not to delete any messages without having first retrieved the gift.

Q: Word on the street is that there are cars which are normally unattainable in Forza 3 and they go by the term "limited edition" or "unicorn." What that all about?

A: Yes there are 3 exclusive Unicorn cars that are only available on the Forza Motorsport 3 Auction House. These cars are extremely rare and will usually go for very high prices on the Auction House. The Turn 10 community team will also be offering these cars to winners of our officially sponsored competitions. Visit the Forza Motorsport 3 community forum here for more on these events.

The three unicorn cars are:

  • 2006 Subaru Impreza S204
  • 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe
  • 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type-A

Q: I’m trying to sell an item (car/livery group/design) on the storefront/auction house and I keep getting the “cannot sell” message. Why can’t I sell or gift this item/car?

A: All content purchased from the Storefront is sold locked, meaning you cannot re-sell or gift that item as long as you are using a locked item. If you receive this error message then it means you have a car or layer group that contains a locked item. It could be a layer group, the livery itself or a tuning set-up; and as long as any of those items are included on your car you will not be able to upload it to the storefront or gift it to a friend. In order to sell/gift that car you will need to first remove all locked items.

For instance if you purchased a Turn 10 logo from the storefront and used it in your Forza 3 liveried car, you would no longer be able to sell that design or gift the car, because the purchased Turn 10 logo is locked. Remove the Turn 10 logo and you are free to sell/gift your car or design.

Q: When trying to access the Storefront or Auction House I get the following error message “This feature is blocked per your Xbox LIVE parental control settings.” What do I do?

A: If you parent or guardian has set parental restrictions on your account then you will not be able to access user generated content (UGC) on the storefront or auction house. Occasionally your account will have these settings applied, and if your account does not have parental controls enabled then you can get around this issue using the following steps:

Navigate to the “My Xbox” portion of the Xbox 360 dashboard and hit “A” on the avatar blade.

  • Select “Profile” and select “Edit Profile” in the next menu.
  • Scroll down to “Privacy Settings” and Hit “A”.
  • Scroll down to “Member Content” and hit “A”.
  • Select “Everyone” to display content from everyone on Xbox LIVE.
